OUR HOST QUEEN BAYARD

Queen Bayard is back to host the live stage at Chorlton Pride! This force-to-be gawked at, if you didn't know, is a truly gorgeous singer/musician/drag-creature based in Manchester. She sings live, lip syncs like a beast, dances the house down boots, and always serves high-frequency love at the party.

If you haven't already, check out "I Wanna Know You," QB's 80s-inspired candy pop bop available to stream on all your favourite platforms. Link up with QB on Instagram @QueenBayard or frequent her website at www.queenbayard.com

Cequin Circus

It's a first time Chorlton Pride performance for the Cequin Circus. From breathtaking performances to immersive experiences, they will be hula hooping on the day.

Jo Somerset

Jo Somerset can be found every Tuesday morning at Chorlton Writers’ Café which meets in Benito Lounge. She is working on a memoir of women/lesbian experience in the 1970s onwards. Her children’s novel Mission: Find Mum was published in 2024 by Stairwell Books.

In 2020 Jo won the Leanne Bridgewater Award for Innovation and Experiment at Salford University, where she completed a MA in Creative Writing. Jo is a trustee of Manchester Literature Festival and contributor to Chorlton Book Festival and Chorlton Arts Festival. She enjoys the occasional open mic gig.

stretford uke

They have put together a set of Pride anthems  - not often heard on the ukulele.

Chorlton Sings

It's friendly, it's fun, it's good for the soul. Looking for that killer blend of mashups, mixtapes, medleys and megahits. They believe everyone can learn to sing, and along the way they'll have you laughing, grooving, twisting and shouting!

wolfy

Wolfy, also known as Hunter King is a prominent Manchester-based transgender drag king, cabaret artist, vocalist and performance maker also widely known as "King of Canal Street".
